Being an Advocate

Something I’ve learned recently is just how important it is to be an advocate for your library.  There are many ways to do this, including joining committees and going to meetings, communicating regularly with your administration and decision makers, becoming an active part of the community, and using social media to reach out to and engage with that community.
I found a great Facebook group, The Shareable Clique, where librarians and book lovers share viral content that can be re-shared through social media.
